UAB "Tikras Namas"
Houses to live well!
All of us dream about a comfortable house...
We debate a lot when choosing a construction method, type, architectural solution for the future house...
We invite you to create the cosiness of the house with us - UAB "Tikras Namas"! (JSC "Real House"). ActivityUAB “Tikras namas” exclusively specialises in production of wooden houses – log houses, bathhouses, outbuildings made from hand processed logs.
How is your house built? Our employees carefully choose the wood directly from the wood cutting location. In order for timber to be optimally used following specific order, it is necessary to efficiently sort the material. Firstly, the logs are cut from two sides, bark is removed and logs are placed in a hothouse (dried for 3 – 4 weeks up to the level of dampness, reaching ~ 20 % ). After the drying, follows the assembly stage : the logs are manually prepared for assembly – each log is being planed, having a special tool joining grooves are being gouged out, the logs are being cut and the angles are joined up, following the project. The type of angle joint is done following the requests of a customer: Scandinavian, Lithuanian, Russian joint. Having built the entire construction during the third stage of building, the logs are numbered, the structure’s assembly layout is written. Then the built construction is dismantled. The entire production process is performed in the manufacturing place; therefore there is no risk of damp or off-season works. Finally, the production is packed and transported to the assembly place. The assembly is being performed on already prepared foundation with the crane. Insulating material is being placed in between the logs: stone wool, sheep wool or specialised insulating material (more about it in the section - Our partners). Attachment of insulating material with rivets is available at the manufacturing place during the structure’s dismantling. The timber of assembled product can be additionally abraded, prepared for painting – impregnating. Final works are performed based on client’s requests and needs.
Why choose a wooden house? As known, wood is a symbol of strength, life and beauty, therefore living in a wooden house helps the person to return to the nature‘s shelter and become its inseparable part. In entire world, timber houses are considered elite. They are appreciated as the most ecologic, psychologically cosy and healthy houses. Westerners are increasingly interested in timber houses being built in Lithuania, as they appreciate the quality of Lithuanian carpenters work and lower rates of timber and work labour. Differently than other construction materials, wood „breathes“, a constant air circulation occurs in wood cells. Therefore, oxygen balance and optimal air dampness remain constant in timber houses; conditioning systems are not necessary as the natural ventilation is carried out through the walls. Electrostatic wood features ensure no accumulation of static electricity in the building and no moving of dust, provoking allergy.
Many people dread that the log houses are damp and rot fast. This concern can be reasonable only if house walls are incorrectly joint, wood is chosen negligently and indecent attention is given to the built house.
One of the ways to prevent the wood from early rotting and ensure a durability of logs is a proper choice of wood. Usually in Lithuania the log houses are built from fir or pine wood. If the timber is properly prepared and dried, then it will be sufficient to fight severe cold. The wall of logs of 20 – 26 cm in diameter possess a significant feature – low heat circulation and preserves the heat equally compared to the brick wall of 1,2 m. Wooden walls collect warmth and equally distribute it in entire building. Timber houses heat up fast and cool down slowly.
One of the most significant advantages of log houses is fast and rather inexpensive construction. Timber houses, bathhouses are built according to the individual orders. Each client‘s desirable building is unique, therefore we attempt to dedicate as much time and attention as possible trying to find out one‘s wishes and expectations and later – implement them. The technology is based on centuries’ traditions and experience.
